It is important to check websites in your country as well as go to an engineering school. I do not believe that they would advertise such openings on the web, as most weapon designers from any country belong to the army.

So many sure you understand how the army of your country works and get in touch with them. In some countries, you need to pass tests (written and physical) in order to enter the army and then keep going step by step until you reach your goals.

Good luck!
