one wattmeter is enough for 3 phase balanced circuits, but only if it is balanced one.

The three-wire, three-wattmeter connection has the advantages of indicating the power in each individual phase (not possible in the two-wattmeter connection) and phase to neutral voltages. In a single-phase system there are just two

you can measure power in 3-phase circuit with one wattmeter.  If the load is fully balanced in 3 phases, wattmeter reading in one phase is enough to calculate the total power. For unvarying load, wattmeter can be switched from one phase to another to read load in phases.

No, you cannot use a three-phase wattmeter in a single-phase supply. The wattmeter is designed to measure power in a three-phase system, which is not present in a single-phase system.

Yes, a 3-phase wattmeter can be used in a single-phase supply. In this case, only one of the three phases is used, and the other two phases are not connected. However, it is important to ensure that the wattmeter is rated for the voltage and current of the single-phase supply to prevent damage to the instrument.

Technically, you can use a 3-phase wattmeter to measure power in a single-phase system, but it may not be the most efficient or accurate method.

A 3-phase wattmeter is designed to measure the total power in a 3-phase system by measuring the power in each phase and adding them together. In a single-phase system, the wattmeter would only measure power in one phase and would not be able to account for the power in the other two phases.

Therefore
