According to the 2011 census, the overall population of Kashmir and Jammu was around 12.5m, of which Muslims made up approximately 68.31%, Hindus 28.43%, and the other religions made up the remaining 3.26%

According to the 2011 census, Hindus make up 6.4% of the population in Kashmir, with the majority of the population being Muslim. The Hindu population is distributed unevenly throughout the region, with the highest percentage being in the Jammu district (20.2%) and the lowest percentage being in the Anantnag district (0.2%).

However, according to the 2011 Indian census, Hindus make up around 28% of the total population of Jammu and Kashmir, which is a diverse region with a significant Muslim population.

From my wealth of knowledge and according to 2011 census the total population of Kashmir was 12.5 including Jammu but Moslem made up approximately 68.31 percent and Hindu 28.43 then rest was completed by other religions
