The girl cadets have to be taught to avoid fear and act boldly in case if they encounter a medical emergency or an accident. This will help them act with presence of mind and handle the situation better.

The following are the basic first aid skills they must learn:


1. Assess the Situation: In a medical emergency or accident, first assess the situation and the victim’s condition before taking any action. 


2. Call for Help: If the situation is serious, call for medical help, or ask someone else to do so.


3. Administer First Aid: Depending on the situation, apply basic first aid measures such as applying pressure to stop bleeding, cleaning and bandaging wounds, applying splints for fractures, etc.


4. Comfort the Victim: Provide emotional support to the victim and ensure that he/she is kept calm.


5. Monitor the Victim: Monitor the victim’s breathing and pulse, if needed.


6. Follow Up: Make sure to follow up with the victim after the incident and provide the necessary support.

There are 7 different first aid basics a girl scout should know:

  1. Understanding how to use 911 and call for help.
  2. How to treat a minor injury. This could be a scrape or cut that needs cleaning and bandaging.
  3. Take the steps to prevent injury before it occurs. 
  4. Understand how to use everything in a first aid kit.
  5. Advanced first aid for girl scouts. - How to handle major medical issues this will be in a training course.
  6. A training course will train you on how to prevent major outdoor injuries before they happen. 
  7. An advanced training course will teach you how to move a person that is injured without causing further injury.

3. How to give breathe when drowning person gets up. 

4. Cleaning the wounded area with alcohol or sanitizer
