From my experience on when is the time babies starts teething, there is no specific date or month that it's supposed to happen. Every baby have his or her own day to start teething and a lot of things are directly impacting on whether it's going to be earlier or late within one year. I have actually seen some babies that are well above 1 year old but are still yet to start teething. What the baby eats well goes a long way in determining when such baby would grow his or her first milk tooth.
My little niece is 11 months old right now but she is yet to start teething but there was a time during her 5 months of age when her gun was itching her very much. She was teething powder to help her stop the itching and we were all looking forward to seeing her tooth but till now, it's yet to grow.

Most of the babies' teeth appears between ages four to six months. However, there is no assurance, it can either be later or earlier depending on the development of the child.

In real life, teething varies from one baby to another. Some mothers claimed that their babies had the first tooth. If we are going to take the average baby's population with teeting, it happens around 6 months.

Teething is the process of new teeth rising through the gums. Teething can begin in children when they are as young as 2 months of age, even though the first tooth usually does not appear until about 6 months of age.
