Depending on where you live a router shouldn't be necessary for an office environment. Most office today run on fiber optic cable and this is run directly to the site. The cable will use a special type of network router that is hooked to a hub. Each device on the network will be cabled into the hub. The cabling from the computer to the hub should be a standard RJ45 ethernet cable. The cable is a pass-through cable that converts the fiber optic single and passes this single to your device.

However, if you are a small office with only two or three computers you can use a stand D-Link modem/router for your office. You will need to plug the phone line to the modem/router and configure the router for your internet carrier. Now, you can either use a WiFi connection or a cable connection to access the internet in the office.

The best router for an office network depends on the size and needs of the network. For a large office, a router with a powerful processor, high bandwidth, and advanced security features is recommended. Some popular models include the Cisco RV340, Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X, ASUS RT-AX88U, TP-Link Archer C5400X, and Netgear Nighthawk RAX200. For smaller office networks, a router with strong Wi-Fi coverage, dual bands, and multiple Ethernet ports should be sufficient. Some popular models for smaller offices include the TP-Link Archer A7, Google Nest WiFi, Netgear Nighthawk AX4, and Linksys EA7500 Max-Stream AC1900.

There is no clear consensus on which one is the best router for office network. However, some of the options that come to mind include the OpenDNS router, networkadvisor, and the Moscow N EX. OpenDNS is a free, easy-to-use router service that gives you access to a large network ofacademic and commercial routers, as well as various other networking devices;, which can then be used toeva, home, or office. networkadvisor allows you to customize your router's appearance, functionality, and more, while networkservice provides essential services such as WAN and home security; and mikrotik is among the most popular routers on the market.
