Following the current trend is a 50/50 thing for me since it depends on what the trend is all about that would determine whether I'm going to be following that particular trend or not.

Well, personally when it comes to my individual lifestyle, when it comes to following a trend, it absolutely depends on what the trend is all about. As much as I follow the trend of things as they take place in the world today, I don't follow everything that happens when it happens because I love being unique as well in things that I participate in.
Now, I made mention about following any depends on what the trend is all about, so when it comes to fashion - clothing and shoes, I don't get pushed to follow the latest fashion trend because I have a strong avarice seeing a lot of people wearing the same dress that I wore to come out in the public.
But when it comes to technology gadgets like computers, laptops, and smartphone, I absolutely love following the latest trends.

It is good to follow trends if you are convinced beyond doubt that the trend will affect your life positively because trends are born out of creativity.
It is not compulsory to follow trends if you can't meet up with it or you are not convinced that such trend is good for you,  lots of ladies wear outfits that exposes almost their secluded parts to the public which is not morally OK, if am a lady I won't follow this trend.
The use of Android or smartphones currently trends and it a good thing because of the technology advancement and the ease most features in the smartphones provides us will make one to also follow the trend.

As an individual it is good we have our rules and personal school of thought which are factors that should determine if we should follow trend or not.

I find following trends very tiring for me. For how long will keep up in this day and age where everything is changing every other day, i really cannot keep up. New stuff is coming up every other day, where is the money to keep buying new stuff on a daily basis. The competition out there is growing within the day, everybody wants to outdo the other with their new style, so who do you follow and who don't you follow. If you decide to go with the trend, you might just get frustrated along the way because once you buy a product from a certain line, then your friend pops up with something from another line that looks better than yours, you might disregard yours to go for your friends, and then what happens next? you both have the same clothes or shoes, and their is no uniqueness any more. This makes people loose interest so fast with what they have, why because they feel if somebody else has this stuff it's no longer in fashion. Fashion comes and goes it never lingers on, so me i wear what is appropriate, and what is affordable and comfortable on my skin. I don't believe in fashion sense, so long as i look good in what i have on, and i don't look ridiculous to other people, am good to go nothing really matters at the point, only what i feel.

I used to follow trends and it was always putting me under pressure. The trend changes a lot and too keep up with it you have to constantly monitor it and have the money to support it. Now I dont folllow trends, I make my own trend.

No. I just buy some thrifted items mostly in clothes, I don't usually buy trending foods too and settle for what I can buy in a grocery store, I also don't buy latest gadgets as long as my old ones are still working

I usually do my own thing when it comes to fashion and buying things. I look for things that I like, that fit my style, and that I think will be comfortable and practical. I may take inspiration from current trends, but I don't usually buy things just because they are popular.

Sometimes though, when the budget is limited, I buy sale items. Most of the on sale items were out of trend or old trend. But I feel happy when I bought an item at lower price. I feel luckier as if I saved a lot. Haha. There was one time, I bought an item for just 3 dollars when the real price was 10 dollars. They told me it was marked down item.
