The National Football League (N.F.L.) was founded in 1920. The league was formed by 11 teams, which included the Akron Pros, Canton Bulldogs, Cleveland Indians, Dayton Triangles, Decatur Staleys, Hammond Pros, Massillon Tigers, Muncie Flyers, Racine Cardinals, Rochester Jeffersons, and Rock Island Independents.

The National Football League (NFL), was officially founded on the 20th of  August, 1920. Originally known as the A.P.F.A (American Professional Football Association), it consisted of ten teams and was renamed to the NFL two years later.

 Over the years, the league has grown significantly, and now consists of 32 teams from all over the United States.

The NFL is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world, and its Super Bowl championship game is among the most-watched sporting events worldwide.
