The band's most notable member was Janis Joplin, who was their lead singer from 1966 to 1968. The band released four albums during their career, the most successful of which was their 1968 album Cheap Thrills, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and featured their two most successful singles, "Piece of My Heart" and "Summertime".
