My friend is a kidney patient with high creatinine level in blood. It's about 6.5 reading. Doctor insisted him that he need to get dialysis if the creatinine level goes to 8 or more. Are there any medicines to avoid dialysis?

There are many medications used to treat kidney disease, but there are no medications that specifically lower the blood creatinine level. In medical care, we first arrive at a diagnosis by taking a careful history and performing a medical examination that might include laboratory testing. By making a proper diagnosis, this leads us to order specific medication to treat that specific illness. Hence, we diagnose the cause of kidney disease and that leads us to the treatment.
