From the state's point of view, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a country if it legalizes prostitution (profession)?

As it is known that prostitution is not good deed (it can damage morale and behaviour from the younger to the older generation), therefore, formally, many countries prohibit this act or/and profession. However, some countries do not prohibit this behaviour and event legalizes this profession. The question arises, from the state's point of view, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a country if it legalizes this profession?
