The plant used to make tequila is called blue Weber agave. It is a succulent plant that grows in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The blue Weber agave is specially chosen for tequila production because of its sugar-rich heart, which is harvested and roasted to extract the juices that are fermented and distilled into tequila.

Tequila is made from the agave plant, which is native to Mexico. The agave plant is harvested and the leaves are removed, leaving the heart of the plant, which is then cooked and mashed to extract the juice. The juice is then fermented and distilled to create tequila.
