Eating fried food frequently is not healthy. Trans fatty acids are contained in the frying oils which can accrue slowly in your arteries causing blockages. Foods that are deep fried also lose many of their natural vitamins and minerals. Potatoes are an example of the latter. A boiled potato has vitamins A and C contained within it. Deep fried potatoes do not. The frying process denatures many vitamins. Long term ingestion of fried foods may lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity and other ailments. Fried foods also excoriate the stomach giving rise to gastritis, ulcers and potentially (long term) bowel cancer. One of a physician's biggest challenges is to move a person on to a healthy diet. I have seen too many people with heart disease directly because of their very bad diets. Suggest that your diet have very little fried foods in its menu. Thank you for allowing me to answer this question. Mark Davis, MD

I don't think eating any food is really bad but the problem is eating excessively, alot of people don't know when to stop especially when it comes to fried foods and baked foods we can go overboard with it. Actually eating too much fried food is very unhealthy for the body because it contains high fat, loads of calories and has high salt content which will lead to health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart diseases.

It pertinent we slow down on their consumption because most fried foods are fried with hydrogenated oils which are very high in trans fats and such foods lacks nutrients that denies the body with the necessary nutrients to function properly.
Eating a balanced diet is just the way out if one needs to live healthy and strong.

In the beginning, medical professionals believed that all fried foods were unhealthy. Most cooking oils have trans fats which can cause high blood pressure. In fact, when compared to saturated fats, trans fats were more harmful and the worst offenders when it came to the development of heart disease. Of course, this information is recent, and moves away from the old idea that fats, such as margarine, which is loaded with trans fats, are more harmful to eat when compared to natural fats, such as butter or ghee. In fact, frying in natural fats, such as butter, coconut oil, and olive oil would do the body more good than harm. Coconut oil, for instance, has benefits which includes the following: its high saturated fat content can boost body fat burning; it can provide the brain and body with energy in a short space of time; and it can kill dangerous microrganisms, such as bacteria and viruses. If you would like a recipe that uses coconut oil, you can try Jamaican escoveitch fish (twist-up) with escoveitch sauce recipe, as shown here:

Jamaican escoveitch sauce ingredients: 6 to 8 pimento berries; 6 pepper elder sticks; 1/2 cup bell peppers, julienned; 1 large onion, julienned; 1 cup carrot, julienned; 2 scotch bonnet peppers (or haberneros or ghost peppers), julienned; 1 cup cho cho or chayote, julienned; 1 cup turnip, julienned; pinch of sea salt; 1/4 teaspoon black pepper; 1 teaspoon white sugar; 1 cup white vinegar; 1 cup lime or lemon juice. Method: 1) add all ingredients to a pan on medium heat; 2) as soon as it boils reduce to a gentle simmer for three minutes. Jamaican escoveitch fish ingredients: 8 small or medium-sized porgies, mullets, snappers, parrot fish, grunt, goat fish, turbit, doctor fish, wenchman or butterfish, with head and tail intact (you may not have some of these fishes, but get any firm fleshed fish that you can get; Jamaican escoveitch sauce; 3 garlic cloves; white flour mixed with white pepper and salt; coconut oil; white vinegar. Method: 1) gut with deep gashes on the sides of the fishes and scale them 2) wash fishes with vinegar and water; 3) pour escoveitch sauce on fishes and place in tightly sealed container overnight in refrigerator; 4) place enough oil in frying pan to fry one side of fish (DO NOT submerge); 5) place 3 garlic cloves in the frying pan with high heat; 6) put a cinnamon stick in a pot of boiling water to counteract fish smell; 7) remove all garlic cloves from frying pan; 8) place each fish in flour mixture; 9) fry each fish to a crisp on both sides after shaking off seasonings from escoveitch sauce, which you set aside for later; 10) place fried fish on plate with dry paper towels; 11) when done, place fried fish in dish with reserved escoveitch sauce poured over them. Enjoy!

Eating fried food in excess can have some consequences.People that eat lots of fried food have a higher risk of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

It can also lead to obesity. The nutritional value of fried food is poor.Proteins that are fried turn to acrolein,a known carcinogen.

Fried foods clog arteries and lead to stroke

Studies have shown that fried food can be linked to Alzheimer's disease

Fried food lead to inflammation in the body  which creates problem with joints

All fats and oil have what is called smoke point,a temperature at which the chemical structure deteriorate and form toxic compounds.this is when oil turn rancid and eating fried food in rancid oil  causes increased oxidative stress on the body leading to things like glucose intolerance, protein malfunction and things like that

I'm not sure where you're getting your information, but fried foods generally aren't considered healthy by any professionals or scholarly journals. However, fried foods from home are healthier than those from fast-food chain restaurants, where the oil can be reused many times over. Fried foods are extremely high in calories, fat, and salt, because of the way they are cooked - in hydrogenated oils, which are high in trans fats. This gives the food a satisfying crunch and improves overall taste, but significantly decreases how healthy it is. People who eat fried food several times a week have a higher chance of dying at an earlier age, or developing chronic conditions such as type two diabetes and heart disease. They are also at a higher risk for obesity, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Thus, we can conclude that fried food is sufficiently detrimental to the human body.

Eating fried foods has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is, fried foods contain more calories than their non-fried counterparts. Eating a lot of fried foods can significantly increase your calorie intake. For example, one small baked potato (roughly 100 grams) contains 93 calories and 0 grams of fat, while the same amount (100 grams) of french fries contain 319 calories and 17 grams of fat.

Disadvantages of fried foods are, it often cooked in processed vegetable or seed oils, when heated, these oils can form trans fats, which are associated with a number of health problems  including an increased risk of several diseases.

Frying is when heat is transferred by hot oil. In baking, heat is transferred by hot air. In broiling, heat is transferred by infrared radiation. In steaming, heat is transferred by steam. In boiling, heat is transferred by hot water.

The nutritional value of frying, besides the temperature used, depends on the oil. There are many kinds of oil and many opinions about the health benefits of each. Some kinds of oil are not even food.
Bottom line: It depends. And there is little or no agreement on any point.

Eating fried foods is not bad, eating too much of it is what we can say is unhealthy. Like the saying goes too much of something is poisonous. I guess you just need to eat it in variations, don't take too much of it or too little. Either way it could cause you problems. I like my food fries but with very little fat, i try to avoid too much fat in food, because that could bring about health issues like high cholesterol which could be dangerous for the heart. If you have to eat fried foods, be careful with the amounts of oils and fats, and again be ready to work out that fat as you eat. That way you will eliminate all accumulated fats in the body.Moderation and variety is key here. Eating lots of meat also can be very unhealthy, it would be good to try and have different kinds of meat every once in a while. mix red and white meat.

It's by all means unhealthy. You can stay healthy if you eat it 1-2 times a week. If you fry it on olive oil it would be healthier or if you fry it on cacao nut oil.

Your body needs a balanced proportion of food, which can be obtained also from fried food, most often it not the name of food that is important but the value it adds to your body, fried fish is healthy because it provides protein, and to prevent adding more cholesterol a lot of people prefer frying with less fatty oils and they go for virgin or olive oils. Foods that retain so much oil after frying are not healthy, so we have to drain out the oil sufficiently before consumption.
