The bible is very clear on this matter, in Leviticus 19:28, the bible states very plainly that, Do not put tattoo marks on yourselves, says the LORD. It is upon us to either choose to obey or to rebel this word.

The controversy surrounding this subject of whether a christian should wear tattoo or not has been raging on for far too long now. It is something that, for me, shouldn't have been something taking this extent, because there are so many scriptural passages to seal thing off on the matter.

Basically, as christians, we are taught not to conform to the things of this world, but we are to transformed by the renewal of minds, so that we can prove that which is good in the sight of our God. Tattoo is this case, is seen as a worldly thing, which God is not pleased with because it defiles His statutes.

A notable statute that prove tattoo is bad to be worn as a christian is that the Bible made us to understand that our body is the holy temple of our God. And that we are made in His image and likeness. If we are to go by these statutes, since God himself wouldn't engage in tattoo, it won't be appropriate for any christian to do so.

In my own opinion, it is not wrong to put a tattoo if you are a Christian. Our bodies are said to be the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should take good care of it. Putting up a tattoo on your body does not necessarily mean that you are not taking good care of it. Tattoo is a form of art. It does not abuse your body. However, if the tattoo artist used an infected needle, then I think that is where the problem comes in.

Personally, I don't think see anything bad in having your body tatooed although a lot of people see it as a bad and immoral thing, and up till now,the reason is what I can't wrap my brain around.

I don't know whether its clearly stated in the bible or not but I know a lot of Christian frown at it especially when its overdone .

Some things don't just portray you as a responsible person especially in my neck of the woods where people are so religious and judgemental.

I don't think anyone will complain in an advanced country like USA or UK (although if you work in a formal setting, you may not be allowed to have your body tatooed).I have seen people in advanced countries who couldn't get a job just because they have tatoos on their body..In some churches, you see pastors going around on jerry curl and nobody condemns them but in a country like Africa, tattoo is considered a bad and immoral thing.

I think you should direct the question to a pastor and see if their is any Bible verse that backs it but personally,I don't see anything bad in it

This is a hard question to answer. I know many people who are Christians and have tattoos on them and then you have the Bible where they say it is not a good idea to put one on yourself. Personally, I do not see a problem with this and if you want one get one. I would not tattoo my entire body, but a small tattoo should not make a big difference in all of this.

We are not under the old law, though it is there to guide you and give you lessons. Should you get a tat do not get anything demonic, make sure for your own conscious it means something to you, and remember to have a heart of repentance truly meaning it, edify others, and submit your will for God's will. He will still take you with a tat. If you can refrain from getting one then still good for being true to self. There will be many things we do that contradictory to the word of God, that doesn't mean your heart is bad always. Consult with the Holy Spirit in all you do.

I do not think it's right for us to tattoo our bodies since it's some kind of idol worship and also the materials used to insert it can pick our bodies badly and cause injury.

In this modern world, it is not the basis of offending different religious sectors because a person is wearing tattoos on his or her body.

The answer to this question depends on the individual's beliefs and personal convictions. Some Christians may choose to abstain from tattoos, while others may feel comfortable getting them. Ultimately, it is up to each person to decide if getting a tattoo is right for them.

Each person's situation is different. Some people may view tattoos as an essential part of being a Christian, while others may see them as less important or less effective in fighting the overall hand of sin. Some may view tattoos as a symbol of identity or culture, while others may see them as an expression of personal faith. Ultimately, each person's opinion about tattoos as a symbol of Christianity would stand.

It is not really advicable for Christians to wear Christians because each tattoo signifies something weather of the devil or any other thing it is not good.
