Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, and physicist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. He was a prolific inventor and held more than 300 patents for his inventions, including the Tesla coil, which is still used in radio technology today. Tesla's work also laid the foundation for wireless communication and he made important contributions to the development of X-ray technology, radar, and the modern electric motor. His legacy continues to inspire scientists, inventors, and engineers around the world.
