Do pangolins have any natural predators?

Pangolins have very few natural predators due to their tough and scaly armor. However, they are still vulnerable to certain predators such as large cats such as lions, hyenas, leopards, and African wild dogs. Young pangolins may also be vulnerable to snakes, birds of prey, and smaller carnivores such as civets and mongooses. However, the biggest threat to pangolins is humans, who hunt them for their meat, scales, and other body parts.

Pangolins have natural predators such as big cats, hyenas, and pythons, but their primary defense mechanism is to roll up into a ball, making it difficult for predators to attack them. However, humans are the biggest threat to pangolins due to hunting and habitat destruction.

Pangolins, known for their unique scales and anteater-like appearance, have relatively few natural predators due to their protective armor made of keratin scales. However, large carnivores such as lions, leopards, and tigers have been known to prey on pangolins, particularly when they are young or vulnerable. Additionally, some species of large snakes may also target pangolins. Despite these predators, pangolins face a greater threat from humans due to illegal hunting and trafficking for their scales and meat, which has led to severe population declines across their range.
