Having dandruff can be embarrassing .What i do to keep myself from having dandruff is that I shampoo my hair once or twice a week

Shampoo can dry out your hair.If you want to be washing your hair everyday, then you should get a shampoo that is gentle and wont dry out your hair.Their are shampoos in the market that one can use everyday. Also, make sure you apply hair cream after bath.

When you go to the barber"s shop, go with your clipper. If you don't have one, make sure the barber"s clipper is rinsed thoroughly before use.

I have two techniques for you to get rid of dandruff. Try any of this for about 5-8 times and it will help you in removing dandruff.

1. Apply Lemon Juice on your scalp and after 2 hours Shampoo your hairs.

2. Add 4-6 drops of Tea Tree Oil in pre-warmed Coconut Oil and massage your scalp gently. Leave it for 4-5 hours or overnight. Then, shampoo your hairs.

And try to save your hair from overexposure to sunlight and pollution. It will dry up your scalp and generate dandruff again.

Dandruff is quite a common problem with many, especially in Winters. So, you need to take extra care of your hairs in this dry weather.

Hope the answer is helpful for you.

Washing hair frequently can dry out your scalp causing you to itch and spread the infection to all places. Make sure that you also oil your hair for 30-45 minutes before washing.

Make sure all your brushes, combs and towels are washed and clean each time you use them after washing hair.
Pillow covers and bedsheets should also be changed around the same time to avoid dandruff from coming back.

Get a mild shampoo that doesn't dry out your scalp. There are also good medicated shampoos for dandruff (not those sold over the counter), use them after consulting your dermatologist.

Onion and lemon are touted to be good to get rid of dandruff but there is no documented proof for such claims< you could try them.

Cleanliness with regards to keeping personal toiletries personal is important. Sharing brushes, combs etc. causes the infection to spread further.

Avoid hairdressers combs, brushes etc., because your chances of getting back the infection is higher. Carry your own stuff and make sure they use sterile scissors to cut hair.
Prevention is better than cure.

Dandruff is caused by a fungus called Malassezia which grows in our scalp. One type of dandruff occurs due to the dryness of the scalp and another type occurs due to the excessive production of oil in the scalp. The best method to finish dandruff is : boil neem leaves for about half an hour and make a paste and apply it to your scalp. Then leave it on for 30-35 minutes and then wash off your hair with water. You can apply the paste on your scalp in the morning before having a bath. Your scalp might itch when you apply the paste. This type of feeling is normal and there is no need to worry about it.

Dandruff which is like a scalp infection that comes with white scalp and itches too can be caused by different problems like dirty hair and scalp, oily scalp, dry skin too, a scalp that is very sensitive to hair products, fungus infection on the scalp and lot more. It is pertinent to find out the root cause that the solution could be started from the root.

I think with a dirty hair washing the hair often with hair shampoo ,applying a Moisturizer and keeping the hair dryer can help prevent dandruff. You can meet with good hair dressers to treat dandruff, they're specialists and dandruff can be treated better by them. Don't forget to buy very good hair cream especially the ones with mints or mentols to help keep dandruff at Bay.

Enough zinc, Vitamin B, and specific types of lipids in the diet may help avoid dandruff. Create a hair and scalp care schedule that works for you. Daily shampooing could help avoid dandruff if you tend to have an oily scalp. To remove flakes, give your scalp a gentle massage.

I used to have dandruff since I was a kid. I eliminated it when I use comb every time I go out to make it fall out of your hair. A shampoo is also a big factor that it's been off my hair quickly.

The best way to permanently prevent dandruff is to maintain a healthy scalp and hair care routine. This includes using a gentle, non-irritating shampoo, avoiding harsh styling products and chemicals, and regularly exfoliating the scalp to remove any dead skin cells that may contribute to dandruff. Additionally, eating a healthy diet, managing stress levels, and ensuring that your scalp is properly moisturized can all help to reduce the likelihood of dandruff.

There are several ways to treat dandruff, such as using medicated shampoos containing ingredients like ketoconazole, coal tar, or salicylic acid. Additionally, you can try massaging your scalp with tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar, avoiding hair styling products that can cause buildup, and eating a healthy diet that includes foods rich in zinc and omega-3 fatty acids. It's important to keep your scalp clean and moisturized to prevent the growth of fungus and bacteria that can contribute to dandruff. If your dandruff persists despite these measures, it may be helpful to consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment options.
