What is your favorite native food?
more_vert
That would be mukimo. This is a mixture of beans and maize which is then smashed with potatoes and some green vegetables.

It can be served with some stew. Its best prepared by grandmas.

My favorite native food is tacos. I love the flavor of the meat, vegetables, and salsa in combination with the crunchy shells. It's a delicious and easy meal that I can enjoy any time of day.

Okay, this is going to sound a little strange to you probably because you might not be from the same country as me. There's this popular dish called Tuwo Shinkafa and Miyan Alehu ( a native dialect which translate to marched rice and vegetable soup).

Just like the name, the dish consist of rice and vegetable along with local ingredients and recipes. The white round thing in the picture above is the marched riced. While the greeny sauce is the vegetable soup. The marched rice is basically just rice marched together. And the sauce is made almost completely like stew, only that some of the process is a little different and vegetable is added to it with branded melon. This is one of the most popular dishes in my country and one of my favorite.

Note: disregard the way it looks in the picture. It isn't always served that beautiful all the time. And by the way, we use our bare hands to eat most dishes like this. We often call them swallow.

I have so many favorites. I lime the greenery a lot. I love okra soup, beans soup, egusi soup, locust, groundnut soups and basically all sorts of vegetables. I like soups based on my mood. There are days when I don't feel likely eating any but one soup I'll eat always is groundnut soup.

I'll eat groundnut soup any day. Precisely the the one made with hibiscus leafs. It has this combination of sour, sweet, tasty and spicy feel. The key ingredient is the grounded nuts added as the last portion.

I love groundnut soup with mashed rice or masa. Masa is equally another local delicacy made out of rice. Jasmine rice. I could eat that sort of meal all day and never get bored or tired of eating the same thing. It is super delicious delicacy

My favorite food that is native to my country is stewed red peas. It is flavored with coconut milk. It's served with either pig's tail, chicken feet, or salted beef stew along with white rice.

There is also steamed fish and okra. This is steamed with butter, escallion, thyme, and Scotch bonnet pepper.

My favorite food is Paneer Butter Masala. There is a perfect combination of creaminess  & spiciness of the gravy which makes it so desirable. It can be served with any type of Indian bread, chapatis or rice. For Chapatis I used Chakki Atta (Contains around 14- 16 % protein content) makes it very soft & delicious.
