Yesterday we marked 55 years of independence. However we have a serious problem with corruption and nothing much is being done about it. Today is this sector and tomorrow is another one. Millions and billions escaping into thin air. The worst part it,the government borrows the money bring it here and police officers and politicians just end up taking it. The citizens have to keep paying more and more taxes and getting poorer and poorer.

A person steals 1 billion and when taken to court they get 100,000 bond. A drop of water in the ocean.

What do you have in your country?

In my country, we have an abundance of natural resources, but unfortunately they are not being utilized to their fullest potential. This means that many of our citizens lack access to basic necessities, such as clean water, healthcare, and education. Additionally, our government has failed to build strong and effective anti-corruption systems to ensure that public funds are being responsibly managed. Finally, we have a poor infrastructure, which means that many of our citizens lack access to basic services such as transportation and electricity.

Corruption, is the major problem in every country and the politicians are mostly involve with it. Just like the same in my country, Philippines. Before the Duterte's becomes President, corrupt politicians are really known and that most politicians involve in a every scandals happening.

Since 1940's, there is already scandal involve by Manuel Roxas, who is the president during that time, the issue was about the surplus war property scandal. And jumped in 2000's, President Estrada was involve in Juetengate, that lead him into impeachment trial. And then followed by Arroyo administration which she was allegedly committing electoral fraud. There were also an issue about Philippine National Broadband  Network controversy allegation of corruption in awarding of a US$329 Million construction contract to Chinese telecommunication firm ZTE for the propose government-managed National Broadband Network. The Fertilizer Fund Scam and so much more.

What is killing my country is Corruption, everyone in place of authority is trying to get their own share of national cake and they cut it so big that even their third and fourth generation can't finished it. Looting of the treasury by politicians is trending in my country and the masses are suffering.
Simple social amenities like clean water, light ,good road even health center is like asking them for luxuries but the masses are paying tax monthly and revenue are being generated daily from both major and minor sectors.

It really appalling that we called our country giant of Africa but we can't boast of any tangible thing we have done for ourselves. Election is coming up again next year and the same looters are out again to campaign. I hope we can rise to vote them out this time around.

There are many problems that we go through in our country, and sometimes as citizens we really have no way of stopping it from happening. Many times we have seen many things happening that are really out of our control. The biggest problem we have in our country is corruption. This has become a part of our lives, i say this because there is no single day that you will go through without hearing a corruption case on television. As much as it hurts, it's actually a reality in our country and it is very sad that we have to go through it. It's like our politicians have phd's in corruption, am sorry to say that, but it's the painful truth. They get government positions and give promises to the citizens, that are never kept. Instead they go there to enrich themselves and their families. At the end of the day thry don't get projects done, hospitals have no medicines, youth's have no jobs despite them having degrees, it is very unfortunate really.

Right now, we are having a major crisis in rice where prices of palay dropped to as low as 7PhP or 0.14USD per kilogram. Imagine that. That number there does not even come close to how much money our farmers spent in planting (seeds, fertilizers, rent on machinery), not to mention how hard a task it is to produce palay. Our farmers, the people who provide food on our table, are suffering from the negligence of the government.

I do hope that this crisis will end soon. Otherwise, it won't be long 'till our farmers gave their land up to land grabbers, and we'll end up relying on other countries for our staple food.

Without a doubt it is Brexit. The British people voted to come out of the European Union  in 2016 but it still hasn't happened due to greedy politicians trying to prevent it. A poll was recently held to find out what people are thinking now and although the majority still want to come out a bigger proportion feel the referendum should never have been held. We have terrible party leaders and for that reason I do not feel I will be voting in the next election. To say we are a democracy is just a joke because all Brexit has proved to show is the politicians do not care what we think.

I am living in the world's largest democracy, India. Yes it's largest democracy in the world, yes it has been an example for the successful rule. But now a days politics on India has become religion centric. The every political issue between the parties is being linked with the religion of the people. This has been contributed into the riots and public agitation. Also, its generating the hatred amongst the people. It has become serious issue Now in this country. The religion is dividing the world's largest democracy.

So sorry about the injustices your bad government is doing to your people.

For now, continue doing the right thing. Work hard. Be fully educated and self-aware (not a college degree) of the things happening around you. Call on to God of justice and compassion for wisdom, protection, and strength.

In Africa generally including my country, corruption is a problem and politics is the center of it. The cost of having a political position is expensive, and people spend a lot of money to get there. And what happens is that when  they get that political position they want to recuperate money spent without considering the masses.

There is a lot of problem in this country. One of the worst problems is that there is very little democracy and people are usually controlled by the government. Another problem is the large amount of wealth that is controlled by a few people.

One of the worst problems that many countries face, and where politics play a central role, is the issue of income inequality. This problem affects people in different ways, but it generally refers to the unequal distribution of wealth and income between different groups within a society.

Income inequality often leads to social and economic problems, such as poverty, lack of access to education and healthcare, and reduced social mobility. In many cases, it can also exacerbate political polarization and social unrest.

Politics plays a central role in addressing income inequality, as governments have the power to implement policies and regulations that can redistribute wealth and income more fairly. However, political polarization and corruption can make it difficult to achieve meaningful change, as politicians may prioritize their own interests or those of their wealthy donors over the needs of the wider population.

Ultimately, addressing income inequality requires a concerted effort from all sectors of society, including government, business, and civil society, to create a more equitable and just society for all
