There is no anything like being overqualified because no matter how your resume or your education qualification may be good an employer can not tell you that you are over qualified but he will tells you that the job opportunity that you applied for does not require such qualifications.

If you are overqualified that means the probability of you getting the dream job is very high since many companies and organisations prefer employing competent and qualified candidates who can performed their respective duties well .

Some emplyers may have the nerve to tell you if they just don't want to give you an opportunity. There are instances where i have seen people being told they're over qaulified for the position. This could mean you are either applying for a job that is way beyond your level of education and they feel like they would not be doing you justice by giving you that job, in other words the pay may not go well with your qualification it could be lower than what you deserve.

There is nothing like the term overqualified. The companies want a person who can follow there standard operation procedures without asking them anything. Also, being more educated than the requirements of the post gives interviewer a feeling that if a person is more educated than the post requirement, he/she would be more likely to leave the job if he/she gets a good offer.

I experienced this before. I had undergone the series of tests when suddenly, the interviewer told me that I am overqualifed and he did not allow me to continue for the final interview.

Yes, there is something like being overqualified. It can be a feeling of being underutilized because of your qualifications. It can also be a feeling of being undervalued because of your qualifications.

Some things you may want to consider include whether you are applying for a full-time, open position, or a part-time position. Additionally, you may want to consider your skills and what kind of problem you can solve.
