Habits are formed overtime. Habits are pretty difficult to form though..it usually takes weeks or months of repetition..To be successful in building a habit, one needs motivation.

Micro habits are small ,simple actions that requires little motivation. It can help you build a larger goal habit.

Flossing a single tooth before bed is a micro habit one can develop. The good thing is once you start even if its just a tiny start, you may often think of going a little bit further until you get to the end.

The implication is you will add more and more to your micro habit by flossing more than one tooth overtime. You will slowly transform the micro habit into goal habit.

It takes less mental effort to commit to a micro habit than to commit to a goal habit.

Micro habits are small, simple actions that are repeated consistently over time to help create new behaviors or improve existing ones. These habits are usually easy to implement and take only a few minutes to complete, but their impact accumulates over time to produce significant changes. Examples of micro habits include drinking a glass of water in the morning, doing a few minutes of stretching or exercise each day, or spending a few minutes each day organizing your workspace.

A micro-habit is basically just a really small step on how you can start doing pretty much anything you want to do,” Schroeder tells NBC NEWS BETTER. For example, if you want to become a runner, start by taking a jog around your block once a day instead of attempting a full mile.

Micro habits are tiny, everyday habits that steer you toward big results. Because they are small and not time-consuming, they are easy to incorporate into your life. If you've ever made New Year's resolutions, you know how hard they can be to see through.
