Knock knees (genu valgum) means that a particular person has a large gap between his feet when he is standing with his knees together. I have seen many children have knock knees, which is obvious in and around the age of 4 years. Knock knee usually doesn't cause any problem but it may cause knee pain and difficulty in walking. In maximum cases, knock knees don't need to be treated because the problem tends to correct itself as a child grows. If it persist joto adulthood and causing problems, such as knee pain, one should have to identify the root cause of this knock knee. Rickets may cause knock knee and tickets can be treated with vitamin D and calcium supplements.

The most common type of treatment for knocking knees is under medical care. However, there are some things you can do to help:

-Exercising can be helpful to improve blood flow and reduce inflammation.

-T Uniculture, a favorite of KnockN's, can help to remove bad bacteria and improve overall healing.

-If there is a lot of pain or swelling, a doctor may need to remove the ball of the foot.

bracing may reposition the knees. When this does not work, or if the patient is an adult at the time of diagnosis, a knee-realignment osteotomy is done to prevent or delay the need for knee replacement.

Knock knees usually gets better as children grow and their legs straighten. Most children do not need any treatment, but sometimes physiotherapy or treatment from a foot specialist (podiatrist) may be recommended.

Treatment for people with congenital knee problems usually includes physical therapy, exercises to strengthen  the knee muscles, and, in  severe cases, orthopedic surgery, such as braces or surgery to correct the position of the knee. A combination of therapeutic measures is included.
