The Turkish soap Fatmagul ends with Mustafa dead, and Selim and Erdogan Yasaran being caught and in jail with a sentence of 15 years or so. It might not seem as a very long one, but the case of Fatmagul (which actually happened in real life) was one of the first rape cases to get the attention of the media, and that actually condemned the rapers in spite that they were rich. At the end of the trial there are hundred of women waiting for Fatmagul outside with signs showing their support. At the end of the chapter Kerem and Fatmagul celebrate their religious wedding, and they're happy.

Fatmagul can end any time anytime. However, it is best to keep in mind that the ultimately, it is the person who ends up with Fatmagul that has the most to lose.
