That is a very good question. I have had to reboot my phone many times. Their are a few different ways to reboot your iPhone. The one that works best for me would be: to hold down the bottom on the side of the phone as if you where going to shut off your phone. While you are doing that at the same time you hold down the middle bottom on the phone. The bottom that you hold down is the power bottom and the home bottom at the same time until your cell phone completely shuts off. This is how you do it. I hope that this helps.

On the right-hand side of the phone is a button called the slide button. On the left-hand side of the phone, you have two buttons that are for the volume on the phone. You will need to press and hold down the slide button on the right side of the phone and also press and hold down the two volume buttons on the right-hand side of the phone. Now you will see on the screen the shutdown. Slide this to the right to completely shut down the phone. To restart the phone press and hold down the slide button on the right side of the phone.
To reboot your iPhone, first power off your phone and then take the battery out of your phone and unscrew the top. Take the top off of the phone and then return the battery to the phone. Do the same thing for the top of the phone. Once the top is back on, power off your phone and then take the battery out of your phone. You should now be able to see the screen on your phone.
