Yes, you can. However, you won't make good money working for content mills. You'll need to find a paid content writing position from blog or website owners. These people are always looking for a good content writer to submit and be paid to write articles for their website or blog. Some blog owners will pay you $10 to $100 for an article they publish on their website.

You can always write for online magazines and they pay up to $300 if they publish your article online. Also, you have poetry sites you can write for which pay nicely for the poetry you submit to the site.

Just stay away from content mill like ODesk and a few other ones and you should make a good income each month writing for different websites and blogs. After time you will establish yourself on a website and the owner of the site will contact you to write for them.

No. Not at all. With almost all revenue sharing sites paying peanuts for your time and efforts, you cannot really make any good money writing content. The amounts paid by sites are such that you cannot even pay either your telephone (internet) bill or your electricity bill. Content writing can never replace a day job under any circumstance. This is my personal experience and a harsh reality.

Hello! It all depends on how much time and effort you are willing to put on the field. I have been writing articles for the last 10 years and I managed to buy a car, pay Bills and pay for university. I will not say that you will get rich, plus now things are very different from what they were ten years ago.

In the last 3 years, the value of articles has decreased, however, if you get a couple good clients you will always have work coming. Usually, 500 words of content are Worth 5 dollars....I write in English and in Portuguese... I also write stories and proofread/translate. Finding People that will pay you 30 USD per article happens once in a lifetime...you will usually work with agencies that were outsourced to write. You get cash on the amount you write...you can find plenty of work at upwork, for example, but don't accept jobs that pay less than 3 dollars per article...also don't expect to get paid 10-30 an article cuz that is just not realistic :)

Of course you can, but it all depends on the sites you are writing for. Frankly speaking, it might seem impossible for you to make a living doing content writing, but with determination and perseverance, you can definitely get your way through it. I know there so many revenue sharing sites out there that are out to milk writers dry of their creative works, but it doesn't mean there are no other sites that are willing to pay considerable amount to their writers.

Although content writing might not be able to make you starkly rich, but it can atleast put food on the table, pay bills, etc, for you. There are few websites and blogs that pay decent amount if you prove to them how engaging your contents are. They are even willing to hire you to be writing for them in a long run while you would be compensated handsomely.

Other reputable websites you can earn in not only through content writing, but as well as data entry, transcription and translation, website design, just to name a few, are Freelancer and Upwork.
