In the UK our trains are quite unreliable and expensive. I have heard that other countries have a very efficient rail system. What is yours like? Do you travel by train often?

I cannot even begin to describe how awful the railway system here in our country is. More than half of the population in the city uses the metro system in their everyday commute yet there hasn't been any major improvement. Just imagine being stuck in the middle of your journey where you have no choice but to walk your way through the remaining kilometers or so. There were also times when the air conditioning system just won't work. But the worst part is not having any trains working when you most need them.

Wow I thought ours was bad but it's nowhere near as bad as that. The best railway system I travelled on was Germany, very prompt and efficient. There were no delays or cancellation as we get here.

Haven't been to Germany but the best I've experienced was in Singapore. The fact that it's connected to their airport makes it so so efficient. For a person who's unfamiliar with the place, it did help me reach my destination right in time. I also find their routes very manageable--the transfers, the exits, etc.

Iny country we have the modern railway network, standard gauge railway or rather (SGR). Its been an year since it was launched and its much cheaper. For instance it charges half the fare a bus could charge. Also, it is very fast unlike the these old trains.

The train system in my country is poor. Only two states have functioning railways and they are always overwhelming crowded since people are sacred for their lives and property while traveling on the highway in those states.

I always thought that India had a good railway network but it sounds terrible. Perhaps I should appreciate ours more as it is mostly safe even thought it is very expensive.

As someone from a developing country, sectors such as the rail is still developing, at the moment there are plans to extend the present rail network to cover all areas of the country but funding has been a big challenge as rail construction is capital intensive and requires huge budget.

Trains in my country are used for long distance transport of transit goods to the neighboring countries.

We also have ones for local transport services which are fairly affordable to the locals.

The modern standard gauge railway is a bit expensive and people have not used it so much. They tend to use the old railway for transport to their work places.

The Netherlands has an extensive railway network that connects the entire country. The railway system is reliable, efficient, and relatively affordable, with most tickets costing less than 20 euros. It is also quite fast, with some trips taking as little as an hour and a half. The railway network is also well connected to other forms of transportation, such as buses and trams, making it easy to get around the country. I personally travel by train often, as it is an easy and convenient way to get from one place to another.

The network in the UK is about as reliable and expensive as you can get. It seems like most countries have an efficient rail system, but the UK is not one of them. Our trains are quite unreliable and expensive, but they're still worth it because they're affordable.
