I need to know what flavour is used in making of a red velvet cake. How it tastes like? What is the main ingredients used in a red velvet cake recipe?

Red velvet is chocolate flavor with red food coloring.
Unlike other flavor cakes red velvet is only made with red colouration together with chocolate essence instead of adding any seperate flavors in it.

Red velvet cake mostly found in supermarkets,snack shops amoung others. It has a little bit of both sower and chocolate taste. It's very sweet and one of the best cakes I would recommend anyone to try it. Though I haven't seen it being prepared but it is obviously that the ingredients of any cake we can't miss; flour, eggs,butter sugar and in this case chocolate is a must.

Red velvet taste like red velvet cake. Sour and sweet. The main ingredient that gives it that distinct taste is cocoa and red food coloring. Here's a list of ingredients you can use.
2 cups flour
250grams butter

1 cup sugar
4 tbsp cocoa powder
4 tsp salt
1  tbsp baking powder
1  tsp baking soda
1cup butter milk
5 eggs
Red food coloring.
This recipe gives you a very light, fluffy and tasty red velvet cake. You can add preservatives if you want it to last longer. Remember to sift all of your dry ingredients. This increases aeration and makes your mixture lighter and more fluffy than when you do not sift at all.
The amount of red coloring you'll add depends on whether you want a darker cake or a lighter one. I personally prefer it a little darker.
