Going on your phone or any other gadget before bedtime can affect your sleep. Apart from the fact that you put extra strain on your eyes viewing the screen at night, these screens emit blue light mostly which can disrupt sleep cycle.

The light keeps you more alert and prevent you from falling asleep as you would naturally. It also suppress the secretion of sleep hormone-melatonin.

Staying on your phone for a long period of time is wrong, remember phones has radiation that affects your body, and constantly exposing the body to this form of radiation is not healthy, you can best read or check your phone for some time and keep it aside before going to sleep.

I don't see if it affects one. Since it's a trend that most people do before going to bed. And it's one of the best time to use the phone for other stuff like checking on your friends and relatives online or completing tasks such as in answeree.

The blue lights of the mobile phones may release melatonin and set your internal clock to a later schedule leaving you waking up groggy, even if you did get a good few hours. This makes it even more difficult to fall asleep and wake up the next day. As a result, sleeping with a phone may induce nightmares, difficulties sleeping, and other issues.

Personally speaking, it does not affect me in any way. Watching on YouTube through my mobile phone at night helps me to sleep soundly. It is my storyteller at night.

Yes, I've had so many problems using my earphones before I sleep. It doesn't help me to fell asleep but rather made me wide awake. Although the music feel relaxing, the mind remains awake because of the music played.

Yes, going on your phone before bed can affect your sleep. The blue light emitted by electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops can interfere with your body's natural sleep-wake cycle. This blue light can suppress the production of melatonin, a hormone that helps regulate sleep, making it harder for you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

In addition, using your phone or other electronic devices before bed can be mentally stimulating, making it difficult for your brain to wind down and relax. Activities like checking social media, reading emails, or watching videos can be engaging and keep your mind active, making it harder to fall asleep.

Moreover, the content of what you're looking at on your phone can also affect your sleep. Scrolling through social media or reading news stories that are emotionally upsetting or stress-inducing can trigger anxiety or negative emotions, which can interfere with your ability to relax and sleep.

To help improve your sleep quality, it's a good idea to establish a bedtime routine that involves disconnecting from electronic devices at least 30 minutes before sleep. This can include reading a book, taking a bath, practicing relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing, or engaging in other activities that help you wind down and relax. Additionally, it's important to create a sleep-friendly environment by keeping your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet.

There is no definitive answer to this question as different people have different preferences for how much phone time they feel comfortable spending and how bedtime is announced. Some people prefer to phone up bed before bed, while others prefer to call up bed and sleep until bedtime. Ultimately, whether going on your phone before bed affects your sleep is up to the individual.
