My phobia is addressing a crowd of people because I tend to tense a lot even someone can notice. How I overcome it is by closing my eyes and taking a very deep breath and assume that no one is in front of me. I focus a lot of what  am talking about so that I can finish and have my seat.

Nice, I had a similar problem but when I understood that no one is perfect it helped me concentrate more on my presentation rather than my mistakes, the most important thing is how accurate the facts you are communicating.

Good way to overcome that fear. I sometimes have the same fears when speaking in front of people, especially new people. It often depends on what kind of authority I have or who is there to judge what I am saying. For example, if I am a student getting graded then I am more nervous than when I am a trainer teaching the class. Taking deep breaths and realizing you know more than you think you know is a great way to overcome a fear of public speaking.

I guess majority of people have stage fright, we do expect good things in front of people but it is giving us hard times because of shyness while performing such things

I have Arachnophobia. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of spiders. Even a dead spider or a picture of a spider triggers an emotional reaction out of me. I avoid walking under trees because I'm paranoid I'll walk into a spider web. If there is a spider in any room of my house then I will avoid that room for at least a month.

One time I was at work (im a cashier) and I saw a spider while I was helping a customer and I literally ran away crying. The list of embarrassing stories i have that are similar to that is ridiculous. I hate spiders so much, even typing this is giving me anxiety.

Your story sounds funny, what crosses my mind each time I see a spider especially the black ones, I ask myself this venomous, I try to avoid it or moving it to a safe point.

I don't have phobias (fear of something), so to speak.  But I do have some situations I prefer not to be in it or avoid to be in it as possible as I can. Such as being in a closed area like an underground parking lot. I avoid crowded cities. Or in my house with blinds closed in or pulled down. I want to see the blue sky and nature through my windows.

Yes that is also horrible. People nowadays are ruining other people's lives without knowing the damage they may do to someone's heart

study published in the journal Science by researchers from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) does a good job summing up how the brain actually has to re-experience a fear in order to extinguish it. Here’s what the researchers did: They put rodents into a small box and gave them a mild shock and then took them out.

I have many phobia and one of them is the fear of death.People die through many ways even through harsh ways like motor accidents, electrocution, etc The way I try to overcome it is by believing that there is a better place than this when we die. That is called life after death.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the following may be a phobia of yours and need to be overcome:)

If you have a fear of change, for example, could you overcome it by learning about it and trying to live a comfortable life?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the fear may vary from person to person. However, often start with things that “troubles” you, such as when they are changing too quickly or when there is a natural beauty closing in on you. Remember, it is important to beistence of the fear, that is, to don’t let it take over.

Everyone may have their own specific phobias that can be overcome. However, some things that may help overcome a phobia include practicing inner-city running and dodging, playing sports, and practicing meditation.
