For making soap at your home you need ingredients such as lye, filtered water, shea butter or cocoa butter and oils like coconut oil, olive oil etc or any preferred oil.
You need to heat up all ingredients except lye and water first. Then allow it to cool. Then mix the lye into filtered water to make lye water. Allow lye water to cool. Prepare a mould and line it with parchment paper. Mix and blend the oil mixture and lye water and then pour the mixture to the mould. Cover the mould with a lid or parchment paper. Cover the mould with a blanket for 24-48 hours. After 48 hours you can cut the soap into pieces in required shape and size. Now you need to place the soaps in a well-ventilated area for 6-8 weeks for curing process before it's being ready for use.
