How to treat rash in groin area due to fat thighs?

Fat thighs might be an indirect contribution, but the problem is gut flora coming out of your butt. Get a small spray bottle and fill it with hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide is cheap so get plenty. Get some sort of baby wipes, antiseptic if you can find them. After wiping with regular tp, spray and wipe with the baby wipes. Spray again as necessary. You might skip the baby wipes and use paper towels. That works.

If you eat yogurt regularly you won't have so much of a problem because the yogurt bacteria will flush everything else out of your system. But that takes a few weeks.

If the rash in your groin area is due to fat thighs, you might try to use a few different products to see exactly which one works for you. I know from experience that, sometimes, your body might not react as fast to one way of healing from a product as it would from another product is why I am going to list several products or homeopathy that you might try.

I, too, have suffered at one time from a rash in the groin area, from what I was thinking was because of fat thighs....let's hope it's from that, and if not, it may be jock itch.

Either way, I would try these products (in order they are in), and if none of those work, you might ought to see a physicians assistance.

Here they are:

1. Cornstarch--I like to use cornstarch (purchased at the grocery store/walmart/dollar general in baking section) since it takes out the moisture from that area and will help it dry on up. You might sprinkle some in your location of rash where it rubs in your clothing to help you throughout the day.

2. Gold Bond--it will help ease the itching and if it's jock itch (know this, women can get jock itch from guys that have jock itch...just in case you are a female), it will help to ease it and heal it.

3. Triple antibiotic cream--I would use this if the other two products didn't work because it may be more serious.

I hope this helps!

If you use any antibiotic cream, read the entire label very carefully. I used an OTC cream once and noticed right away that I had lousy balance. That was listed on the label as a side effect. And they actually marketed this crap!

As with anything..any kind of OTC or prescription, always read the labels. What effects one does not always effect the other. I know I have different reactions to different types of meds myself.

1. Keep the area dry and clean: Keeping the area clean and dry is one of the most important steps in treating a rash caused by fat thighs. Wipe away any sweat or moisture from the groin area after any activity. Use a soft and absorbent cloth to pat the area dry.

2. Wear loose-fitting clothing: Tight-fitting clothing can irritate the skin and cause further irritation and discomfort. Wear loose-fitting clothing made from natural fibers such as cotton and linen to help reduce irritation and discomfort.

3. Use an antifungal cream: If the rash is due to a fungal infection, then an antifungal cream can be used to help reduce the symptoms and clear up the rash. Apply a thin layer of antifungal cream to the affected area twice a day for up to four weeks.

4. Use an anti-inflammatory cream: Anti-inflammatory creams can help reduce the inflammation and redness of the skin due to the rash. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area twice a day until the rash is gone.

In some cases, having some prescribed anti-histamine drugs or creams is so useful for this condition. It is also good if wearing loose pants.

Long-term: Eliminate the cause (fat thighs) which means lose weight. Short-term: Try preparations meant for diaper rash, like Desitin. Once the rash is gone, try Coconut oil to keep it at bay until your can lose weight.

To treat a rash in the groin area caused by fat thighs, keep the area clean and dry, use a medicated powder or cream, wear loose clothing, and lose weight if necessary.
