Is swimming effective for getting a better body shape? How many times a week should I swim to tone up my body?

With any exercise, it is recommended to exercise 3 to 4 times a week to see results. Of course you will maintain a healthy diet as you swim. It is very good for toning muscles and relieving any type of aches and pains. Water exercise can be very effective if you do proper strokes and work with swim equipment. You may want to look into taking water classes. Hope this helps! :)

By the term swim equipment did you mean swimming training equipment? Otherwise, I wonder how a piece of equipment can help in getting the most out of swimming :blink:

Can swimming give you a smaller waist?
I am referring to aquatic equipment such as weights, resistance fins, boards, etc. They do assist in any aqua water exercise.

Swimming improves your stamina helping you to become more prudent to things that you usually do. Ever since most of the fitness instructors and nutritionists are in favor of swimming as one of the best physical activities.
