Rendering the webpages on the laptop or bigger screen means bigger data. So you tend to have more data consumption on the laptop and desktop instead of mobile. Mobile takes the less data by showing you compressed versions of the webpages.

The laptop does use more data than the smartphone. However, this is generally the case for all digital devices. The laptop uses more power than a smartphone, so it can use less data.

Laptops and smartphones use similar amounts of internet data when performing the same tasks. However, some laptops may use more data if they are configured to download large updates or if the user performs data-intensive tasks such as streaming high-definition videos. Additionally, some laptops may be configured to run background processes that use internet data even when the user is not actively using the device.

Not necessarily. Data usage depends on the internet activity and the amount of data being transferred. Laptops may have larger screens and run more data-intensive applications, but smartphones may use more data for background tasks such as push notifications and automatic updates.

Most laptops are not available with data, unless a personal hotspot is used. If you use a personal hotspot, it will require more data since it is using the phone and the laptop combined. So in the rare occasions that a laptop is accessible to data, it will require more data.

Yes there is a very big difference in data consumption on smartphones and laptops while surfing the Internet . Laptops use a lot of data than smartphones because they have bigger RAM than Smartphone since they store  many softwares which use a lot of data while surfing.

Laptops have ports for internet connection.

But phones have data. Data usage depends on the website you are using. When it's slow it can take up most data. Similar to internet connection.

Laptops contains more information than a phone and that means the more information the more data it consumes.  Though most phones have applications running on the background that consume a lot of dat, this could be checked and reduced.

A laptop consumes a lot of data than an Android phone because of many apps and software that take up a lot of space and keep updating.
