To make a black colored cake, you can follow these steps:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Black food coloring gel
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the eggs until they are light and frothy.
Mix in the buttermilk, brewed coffee, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth and well mixed.
Add black food coloring gel, a few drops at a time, until you achieve the desired black color. Stir well to distribute the color evenly throughout the batter.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pans for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, you can frost and decorate your black cake as desired.
Note: It's important to use black food coloring gel rather than liquid food coloring, as the gel is more concentrated and will give you a deeper, more intense black color.
