What could be the reason my printer is not recognizing new ink cartridges? I tried everything by reinstalling cartridges several times, cleaning heads and reinstalling printer software etc. But no way to make it work again.

The reason why this might be happening I will explain here.

You bought the wrong cartridges

For example, if your printer need 535 or 535xl and you buy 536 or 536xl then the printer won’t be able to use it if this is the case. Find out what ink your printer uses and buy the right ink instead.

If both these things haven’t fixed it feel free to always let a mechanic come.
I wish you the best of luck.

Try these steps to make your printer recognize the new catridge.

  1. Remove all the ink cartridges from the cord.
  2. Insert the ink cartridge and try the test page.
  3. If it is still not working and found the same problem get the technical guide to reset the printer.

I have had this problem before and it could be one of several reasons. Perhaps the cartridges are recycled and not the original ones. I bought these because they were much cheaper but they didn't work, or as mentioned in other answers it could just be they are the wrong ones.

There could be a number of reasons why your printer might not be recognizing the new ink cartridges you're adding to your bag. might be because your printer is still using the old cartridges, or might be because the new cartridges are not of the correct size or type. If your printers are still not recognizing the new cartridges, you might need to clean the heads of your printer more than once a week.

There could be a number of reasons why your printer might not be recognizing the new ink cartridges you've sent it. If your printer is not recognizing the new ink cartridges because you have not replaced them before, it might be that one or more of your old ink cartridges have particularly failed and it is not possible to replace them successfully. If your printers software has not been up to date with the new features in the new edition of its printer software, it might be that one or more of your new ink cartridges have not been fresh and might not work properly. If you have recently changed your mind about taking up the cause of your printers proper service, or if you have other concerns about the printers ability to recognize and print, please take a look at the printer's specific instructions to see if they will help.

Make sure that the cartridges are in the correct slots. Check the position using the coloured label guide, located on the plastic above the ink cartridge holder. Check that the plastic film on the bottom of the cartridge has been pierced. If it isn't pierced, reinstall the ink cartridge into the printer.
