Some toys were left with batteries on it. After some time, I discovered that the coils have been destroyed by rust. Can I still fix this because the only damage is the rusty coil from the battery left behind few months ago.

The best option for this is to remove the coil, clean it and but it back. Most coils usually twist out. If they are beyond repair, Amazon is a great  place to find replacements.

To fix toys with battery rust damage, remove the batteries and clean the rusted area with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Scrub the area with a toothbrush and wipe it with a cloth. If the rust has caused significant damage, replace the affected parts or seek professional repair.

Yes, you can fix the toy rust damage by cleaning the area where the battery was left and by adding new coils to the toy.

The rust is caused by a chemical reaction between the rust and the toy. It is the same thing that happens to the metal around the battery in the first place. You can prevent the rust by Creative reinsuring and toy rental companies from using that type of material.
