On the lists that I always see people miss out on a great and amazing video editor that will probably beat other competitors in most tests.

It is called Hitfilm, Hitfilm is a free-to-use video editor. It uses the freemium model, you can use it to edit basic video with text, effects and more for completely free but to unlock some of the more advanced effects you have to spend 5 to 20$ ( per pack total of about 12 packs all including different effects)

1 of the packs I do recommend getting is the advanced text, it has lots of different types of text, 3d text and much more.

It is of course completely up to you if you want to use Hitfilm but it easily takes the place of best video editor on my list.

I hope this was useful to you.

I wish you the best of luck!

For the Windows platform, there is a lot of free video editing software available. There is a rich selection that is available to choose from. In my opinion, the best free video editing software for desktops would be Blender. But the surprising thing about it is not primarily video editing software. But it has basic functionality and usefulness if we are talking about video editing. What you need to use for a basic video edit is already included in its functions and features.

Best Video Editing Software for Windows/Mac [Very Easy for Beginners]

The free video editing software are either too simple to meet the demands or too challenging to understand the workflow. For example, some of them may lack audio editing and color correction features. I highly recommend you to try Wondershare Filmora9 video editor, which has significant improvement in overall performance, making the product faster, more powerful, and taking the user editing experience to a new level.

It is perfect for helping beginners and intermediate users create stylish videos by providing an intuitive user interface and built-in effects.

I think there is no the 'best' video editing software, everyone's need for video editor is different.

For the people who just use video editor to do something simple like organize photos and vlog, a simple and easy to start software is suitable for them, like TunesKit Acemovi, while others who want to learn more about editing and do something fantastic and complicated effects, the professional one like Adobe Premier is the best choise, so the 'best' vary from eifferent people.

If you want to find a best video editor for yourself, you should first know what your need and try several popular software in the market, then choose the one suits you best, not everyone can use the popular software proficiently.

I have tried many videos editors for years and these are the best free ones :

Kdenlive - A completely free and open source video editor . You can do pretty much most of the stuff in this . No payment strings attached and all the features are available to you out-of-the-box.

DavinciResolve - Its used by millions of filmakers and Content Creators around the world . It has a completely free version with which you can create professional looking videos with it

Blender's Video Editor - Its very basic , you can do simple simple things like cutting , cropping , trimming , making a shorts etc with it . I used it for a few months until I moved to other softwares

There are others too , example Adobe Premier Pro , Popularity used by most big youtubers (NOT FREE) as well as Wondershare Filmora 12 (ALSO NOT FREE) for content creators

So yes , this is my breakdown of video editors I have used
