Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 2 cups diced onions
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon grated garlic
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 cups diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cashews, chopped
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cups cream
- 1 pound paneer cheese, cubed
- Salt to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and sauté for about 30 seconds.
2. Add the onions and sauté for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
3. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté for another minute.
4. Add the garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and chili powder and sauté for another minute.
5. Add the tomatoes and cashews and cook for about 5 minutes, until the tomatoes are softened.
6. Add the tomato paste and cream and bring to a simmer.
7. Add the paneer cheese and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Season with salt to taste.
