What are the best free video editing softwares currently available?

There are tons of absolutely free video editing apps out there or at least those with ree versions and trials as well depending on what they are needed for. Some include:

1. Blender

2. Shortcut

3. iMovie

4. VSDC

5. Videopad.

I want to elaborate on the other answer to your question.

My list would be as follows:

1. Hitfilm - It is free to use but has a few packs that you can buy to get some extra effects, good for editing video's. 

2. Shotcut - It is a 100% free to use and has tons of capabilities, not as good as hitfilm and crashes often but good enough for editing any video.

3. Imovie - If you want to be able to edit video's on the go and you have a Ios device you might want to check out Imovie as it provides enough capability to be usable, it is far from Ideal but it is on here because you can litterally have it in your pocket.

I recommand the TunesKit Acemovi, it'simple but poweful, the newbi can start to edit video when following the user guide.It can trim,crop and zoom,split screen,add text,audio, transition,animation and filter.The most demand of editng function you can find in it.
