I have a centos web panel installation on my VPS with a site already running on it. The ip address is shared ip. So I chose to add another domain and nameservers were added too. But while checking DNS record I can't find host records on the second domain added. First domain is working as it was. I tried both addon domain option and new account method. Both are showing same results only. While continuing with the autossl installation is also getting failed with a message 'domain is not pointed or has restrictions on htaccess'. All settings are same as on the working domain. How can I correct this problem?

Seems like your A record is not resolved yet. As the nameservers propagated and still the autossl saying the domain is not pointed it must be related to A records. The first domain working fine means configuration is good. So you should try creating a private nameserver on the menu DNS FUNCTIONS > Edit Nameserver IPs.

  1. There you have to change the ns1.centoswebpanel.com section.
  2. Make it as ns1.yourdomain.tld and your VPS IP address on IP section
  3. Again repeat it with ns2.yourdomain.tld with the same ip address
  4. Save it to create a new nameserver
  5. Restart DNS bind on cwp dashboard
  6. Then add this private nameservers to your domain registrar.
  7. Add an A record with @ symbol to the same IP address mentioned above
  8. Add a CNAME with www and the same ip address
  9. Delete any existing parking record, mail record or redirection record there on DNS records
  10. Save the changes made

Now within an hour or so your host record will be resolved with reverse dns records too. Then you can continue with autossl and other settings you need on your centos web panel.

There is no host record for "cwp.com" on the "cwp panel" on my VPS. There should be a record for "cwp.com" in the file "htaccess" on the "cwp panel" if they are present.

There's noelaborate guide like this, but basically you're trying to add a new domain to the cwp panel and trying to access the record for that domain from your account. This might be a problem if your VPS is connected to the internet and has an ip address that is shared across multipleip addresses. If not, you might need to add a new add-on domain to the cwp panel and Caucus/Domain Administration will help you out.
