In moderation, a small amount of caffeine will not harm your breastfed baby. Keep in mind that the concentration of caffeine in your breast milk will peak about two hours after breastfeeding. We recommend limiting your daily caffeine intake to less than 300 milligrams.

My wife was advised to drink black coffee while breastfeeding. She has been drinking it and now all our children are fully grown. I do not actually know why but she used to drink it. I do not know if it was a myth or fact but it was known black coffee increases breast milk.

I think it is the caffeine. It is safe to drink it. Most of it ends in the breast milk though.

It is not harmful to drink black coffee while breastfeeding, but moderation is strongly advised. A daily intake of 300 milligram of caffeine is advised for nursing mothers.

Moderate consumption of black coffee is generally considered safe while breastfeeding. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) both state that moderate caffeine consumption is unlikely to have adverse effects on a breastfeeding infant. However, excessive caffeine intake can lead to irritability, sleep disturbances, and other symptoms in both the mother and the infant.

It's generally recommended that breastfeeding mothers limit their caffeine intake to no more than 300 milligrams per day, which is equivalent to about 2-3 cups of coffee. It's important to note that the caffeine content can vary widely between different types of coffee, and other foods and beverages like tea, chocolate, and some sodas also contain caffeine, so it's important to take these into account when calculating your overall caffeine intake.

If you're concerned about the effect of caffeine on your breastfed infant, you may want to monitor your baby's behavior and sleep patterns after you consume caffeine to see if there are any adverse effects. If you notice any negative effects, you may want to consider reducing or eliminating caffeine from your diet. It's always a good idea to consult with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns.

There is noouston's research on black coffee drinking during breastfeeding, but it is generally safe to drink coffee while breastfeeding. Some mom-to-begins find it helpful to drink coffee with milk in it, so it is not a bad idea to at least try to drink a few drops of coffee milk-based milk with each cup of coffee.

Drinking moderate amounts of black coffee while breastfeeding is generally considered safe, as caffeine is transferred to breast milk in small amounts. However, excessive caffeine intake can cause irritability and sleep problems in infants. It's best to limit caffeine intake to 2-3 cups per day and consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice.
