How many times have you eaten ripe mango and resulted in sore throat every time? Maybe the sugar that's contained in the sweet ripe mango. Sugary food causes phlegm. And sugar causes inflammation in the most vulnerable-- tonsils. Rinse your mouth with salt whenever you feel the pain of sore throat. Drink Vitamin C, ascorbic acid daily.

Am confused here. Do we eat the flesh of a ripe mango seed? I thought the seed was for growing.

Mangos can cause allergic reactions including sore throat. Mainly it is the skin of the ripe mango which can cause allergic reactions. If you can eat it without allowing the skin or peel come into contact with the skin, the better. Somebody should peel for you. If the symptoms insist then avoid eating mangoes.

The most common cause of a sore throat is a viral infection, such as a cold or the flu. A sore throat caused by a virus resolves on its own. A less common type of sore throat caused by bacteria, requires treatment with antibiotics to prevent complications. In a way yes, if the fruits is not properly washed.

Mangoes are also my favorite fruit but I tend to eat the mild ripe ones since I don't like too much sugar. I suggest you can try taking mangoes which have not overriped.

I think it is an allergic reaction from nibbling the surroundings of the mango seeds. Since time immemorial, most elders say that it is not good for us to do this.

The mango fruit contains an allergen that triggers symptoms in individuals that suffer from oral allergy including itching, tingling, and swelling in the mouth or throat. This mainly gets from the skin of the ripe mango which can cause allergic reactions.

There is not a single answer to this question. It depends on the particular mango seed you are eating. Some people have a problem with their throat because the mango fruit is high in sugar and carbohydrates. This can cause an allergic response, which can lead to a rise in blood pressure and a throbbing feeling in the head.

Your symptoms may depend on the mango fruit, and may/may not be caused by eating the fruit itself. If you are experiencing a sore throat after eating the flesh from the mango seed, it may be best to consult with a healthcare professional to help resolve the issue.
