I am using a luminous inverter with dual battery. Due to long power failure my battery got fully discharged. After power resumes on mains inverter is not getting on. It's being on and off in every second. Now I am using the bypass switch to get power output. Do the battery charger work while on bypass mode?

Battery charger won't work when an home UPS or inverter is in bypass mode. Bypass switch is used to bypass the input directly to the output whenever a fault occurs in the inverter / ups including a charger fault.

If the inverter is switching off or being tripped after a full discharge in a dual battery setup, most probably one of your battery is too low in charge. If there is a significant voltage difference on two batteries then they inverter fails to load as it needed the sufficient voltage to work. A faulty battery may also show the same symptoms.

Solution is to check the voltage and charge both batteries individually using a charger or single battery inverter.

No.Inverter don't get charged in the bypass mode.In this mode Inverter uses the Power, but don't get charged.Nobody should charge the battery of the Inverter in this manner.

Bypass mode, that is, the load is powered by the bypass source, which comes directly from the mains input; if the rectifier is. normal, the internal charger will charge the battery. In Bypass mode, the inverter indicators are off.

The battery charger will not work while the inverter is on bypass mode. The charger will not work when the inverter is in bypass mode either.

When a home UPS or inverter is set to bypass mode, a battery charger won't function. When an inverter/ups issue, including a charger fault, manifests itself, a bypass switch is employed to bypass the input and go straight to the output.

No, inverter batteries do not get charged in bypass mode. Bypass mode essentially bypasses the inverter and power flows directly from the source.

No, inverter batteries do not get charged in bypass mode. When an inverter is in bypass mode, it directly supplies power to the connected devices from the main power source, bypassing the inverter's internal battery system. Therefore, the battery is not utilized or charged during this mode.
