Is it more difficult for a salesman to have team spirit?

I have been thinking about this for quite some time now. Since he is a salesman, how can he work with them based on having a team spirit? The fact is that all the colleagues are his competitors. It seems like it contradicts its principle.

Unless you are an independent salesman, the ultimate goal is to help the company grow. If  the salesmen cares about the business growth, team spirit should come natural.

It means that they do not need to compete with each other. Perhaps a salesman needs to enhance his salesmanship despite working with his team. He or she needs to figure out how to balance his or her life with them.

No it is not difficult for a salesman to have a team spirit and it's possible to have team spirit because as a salesman you need to have a team behind you who you will  together and make sales as a team that's the team spirit and also in sales business competition is healthy and it is allowed.

In Sales, I do agree that healthy competition is fine for the team. However, it is inevitable that they will pull down each other, especially if they are aiming for promotion. Regardless, it is still a business culture.

I got an idea. Perhaps the companies can provide some incentives, then the sales team will work hard to have them. I had seen some companies do this to motivate them.
