I feel the old were meant for the old people today, now things have change and evolved. Likewise the cartoon industry has to roll out toons in line with the present time, so that children of today's world can easily understand and adapt to it.

With the coming of new channels, competition rose drastically which made Cartoon Network stop telecasting many shows because they were not able purchase the license to telecast. Many times, they repeated the entire series without any formal announcement which annoyed the young kids.

I assumed that they do have the time to create new programs for the kiddies to watch. It is a matter of knowing the right timing for them to do this.

Another theory is that they have become too expensive to air and that people no longer want to watch old shows.
