A silicone keyboard is a type of keyboard that is made of a silicone material instead of traditional plastic or metal. These keyboards are designed to be waterproof, dustproof, and more resistant to wear and tear than traditional keyboards. They also tend to be quieter and more flexible than their traditional counterparts. Compared to regular keyboards, silicone keyboards are generally more expensive, but they last longer, are easier to clean, and may provide a better typing experience. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and the type of job you need the keyboard for.

Here are the best features of a silicon keyboard:

  1. They are waterproof. So if you dump something on them they won't get ruined like a standard keyboard.
  2. The silicone keyboard is flexible and it can even roll up. This makes it easy to take with you and roll up in your backpack.
  3. They take a lot less room to store. Because they are flexible it makes them really easy to store.
  4. They are very lightweight and this makes it nice to carry with you.
  5. If they happened to get dropped, they won't break.
  6. They sell for as low as $8.99 plus tax and shipping if you order this online.
  7. They are wireless which makes them great for moving around and using with a laptop if you want.

Ordinary keyboard.
  1. We all know that a standard keyboard comes in all different shapes and sizes.
  2. They are a bit larger.
  3. They weight more,
  4. They are either wireless, USB or PS2 models.
  5. If you spill something on the keyboard it can get destroyed.
  6. This keyboard will collect all kinds of dust and dirt.
  7. You can buy a low-end model for around $9 and the price goes up from there.

Depending on you and what you like. The keyboard basically do the same exact functions, except one is flat and sits on the desk and the standard keyboard has legs on it and can be elevated just a bit.

Actually the silicon keyboard is a special type of keyboard that is made with silicone materials while that of ordinary keyboards are made of plastic/rubber/aluminium or steel materials. In comparison between the silicone and the ordinary keyboard, the following can be said about them:

Prize; the price of the silicon keyboard is kind of on the high side than the ordinary keyboard ranging from $8-23 while the ordinary keyboard is between $8-20 depending on the material used.

Foldable wireless Bluetooth features; the silicone is very much flexible which makes it to be able to bend into folds while the ordinary jeyboard is inflexible mechanical device. The wireless Bluetooth feature associated with silicone keyboard can't be said about all the ordinary keyboards.

Waterproof feature; the silicone keyboard is water resistant meaning it can't be spoiled by water if touched by it while the ordinary keyboard is not waterproof which makes prone to damage by water.

If you want to refrain from dusting your keyboard, it is best to use the silicone as a keyboard protector. However, you still need to clean after using it from time to time. It does not need to be every day. Once you had seen being dusted and accumulated to it, then it needs to be cleaned up.

Silicone keyboards are keyboards made of a flexible silicone material, which makes them waterproof and dustproof. They are also more durable than traditional keyboards, as they are resistant to spills, dust, and other environmental factors. They are also quieter than traditional keyboards, as the silicone material absorbs sound.

A silicone keyboard is a type of keyboard that utilizes silicone rubber as the primary material for the keys and the keyboard membrane. These keyboards are often flexible, waterproof, and resistant to dust and debris. They are commonly used in industrial, medical, and outdoor environments where durability and resistance to harsh conditions are important.

Here's a comparison between silicone keyboards and ordinary keyboards:

1. **Material**: Silicone keyboards are made primarily of silicone rubber, which gives them a soft and flexible feel. Ordinary keyboards typically use plastic keycaps and membranes.

2. **Durability**: Silicone keyboards are known for their durability and resistance to environmental factors such as water, dust, and dirt. They can withstand more extreme conditions compared to ordinary keyboards, making them suitable for use in rugged environments.

3. **Flexibility**: Silicone keyboards are flexible and can be rolled up or folded for easy storage and transportation. Ordinary keyboards are rigid and cannot be bent or folded.

4. **Tactile Feedback**: Silicone keyboards generally have a softer and quieter typing experience compared to ordinary keyboards, which may have more tactile feedback and audible keypresses.

5. **Maintenance**: Silicone keyboards are easier to clean and maintain due to their waterproof and dustproof properties. Ordinary keyboards may require more frequent cleaning and maintenance to prevent dust and debris buildup.

6. **Cost**: Silicone keyboards tend to be more expensive than ordinary keyboards due to their specialized construction and durability features.

Overall, the choice between a silicone keyboard and an ordinary keyboard depends on your specific needs and preferences. If you require a keyboard that can withstand harsh conditions and provide flexibility and durability, a silicone keyboard may be the better option. However, if you prefer a traditional typing experience with tactile feedback and don't need the extra durability features, an ordinary keyboard may suffice.
