It is given that children need to follow their parent's advice in life. At some point, they need their parents' approval before deciding into something. There is no need to whine about it because that is parenting. The question is for how long are they going to do this.

Yes, it's absolutly needed. In order to make childrens walk in the right way, parents have a very important impact. They have to manage their childrenand give good advice to them. If talking about decision parents should give suggestion to their children. But at the in the end of the day parents should let their children to chose what is their decision.

Open communication is the key factor to help in having a final decision. Biological parents cannot force them to decide for themselves. It gives and takes of communication.

I think Yes. But do not do it by force, just say it as form of orientation, so that later in the future they do not regret the bad decisions they made

I do think that we need to take time for the kid to open up. We do not want him or her uncomfortable to say things to adults.

Yes. Parents would definitely help their children to take decision. Parents care for their children more than anyone in this world. They have experienced many problems in their life. Based on the experience, parents give advise to their children. It is advisable to take their decision.

I do agree that they need to follow what parents can advise them. There is no reason why they need to disobey them.

I think its true.

Yes parenting must be done and but how long should it be?

I believe whatever the time be it, how big the son or a daughter is still if he/she founds some difficulty/problems is making there decisions then taking advice of there parents will be one of the best solution at that time.

So I don't think that this should be restricted till a particular age or something else.

That's a big question for how long they need to ask for advice from their parents. For me, they can still ask their parents' opinions even if they are adults.

Yes, parents help us to make decisions when we're young but still gives us advice when we already have our own family

Yes. Children do really need their parents to guide them in order to know what is good and bad. Regardless of the age, some people might really need someone who can on help his/her decisions.

I also think that it is important for the parents and children to have an understanding relationship so that they can understand where each other comes from.

I do agree that both parties will be so close to be able to come to final conclusion in making a decision.

The role of parents in a child's life cannot be dismissed in any case since parents have experience and can offer much to the growing children. There should not be any limit in the role of a parent giving advice to their children.

I do agree with but not all biological parents are like this. It means we cannot generalize this matter.

Yes, parents should help their children to make decisions, especially younger ones. Each child needs guidance from their parents regardless of age. There are some challenges in life that only parents can foresee the problems and can give advice to their children to give them a better life in their future. Parents have been through those times in their younger years. That's why they know more about all the problems and trials that they experience when they experience those problems before.

My biological parents have done this with us while still alive from birth to adulthood. Now, I am starting to miss them, especially my mom who passed away early this year.

Yes very important, parents should help their kids in their decision making process. Kids can be influenced by bad friends and that can make terrible decisions which would affect their lives negatively, so it is the responsibility of the parents to help them know the right decision from the bad ones.

I do agree with you. Kids need to be supervised. How about if the kiddies reached adulthood?

There are kids who grow up being responsible, and for a parent to test the waters, they should let them be involved with decision making.. I knownthebage should be 18 but you will also find that an 18 year old is still reckless and makes wrong choices. I feel it depends on how responsible you are. If at 18 your not a responsible person then your parents should still make decisions for you til you prove to be responsible enough.

I do agree with you. Despite the legal age of being a young adult at 18, he or she needs to be still guided by the elders.

Parent advice is important to improve the child's behavior. You can help your children learn good decision-making by coaching them through decisions to help a child empower them to make confident, and conquering the world with their personality and those skills will aid your child's ability to choose solutions to challenges.

I personally think that parents can still help out in making final decisions to certain things. They can be asked some suggestions and allow us to decide for ourselves after.

It is natural for children to want to want what their parents did, regardless of what they may feel others may not want. It is important for parents to provide support during and after each stage of their children's life, regardless of what they may not want.

It depends on the individual family's individual policies and opinions. Some parents may be better suited to assist their children in making decisions, while others may not be able to do so. Ultimately, it is up to the individual parents to decide how to provide assistance to their children.
