No exact date has been given yet. But it is expected that the PS5 will be available in the market by this holiday 2020 i.e. by the end of 2020.
Maybe in the month of November or December, it might be available.
On comparing PS4 with the new PS5, the upgrade is worth it as the specs and features tell.

The PS5 or Playstation 5 is the next generation playstation console, and it's release date coming in late 2020. Sony has confirmed the PS5 relase date is not currently delayed by corona virus, and reiterated the fact that the PS5 is still on course for a Holiday 2020 release in it's end of year financial report.
I think the date was mentioned as Christmas or few weeks earlier. So this is more like new year releasse if you think of it this way. They have plans to launch complete stuff this christmas. But not sure how they are aiming for the release days like with or without accessories etc.
