I've only use Notepad, Worddocs, and calendar to take note or journal some of my significant days. But I want to explore more. Preferably one that doesn't have annoying ads.

I am an old school in terms of making a journal. I tend to have a notebook and a pen. Some people think that it is obsolete, but it is what I used to do.

I make use of the app named "Joplin". This app allows you to document the diary like content in the markdown format. And you can also export that content into the PDF or other format of your choice. I used to document using the Word but recently switched to the Joplin as it works out for me. I may continue to use it as much as possible as long as I can even sync the content with the online storage options.

Notepad++ is a great app for taking notes, and it's also great for creating a journal.

The Notepad app is a journal app that offers a more isolation-based approach to taking notes than other apps.
