It seems like coronavirus confirmed cases is still incrementing up to this date. If it affects the farmers, then there will be a big problem with the food supply. We need to support the agriculture sector to provide our food supply. In my country, the local government encourages locals to plant some vegetables to their homes. It is not because we are food scarcity now. Perhaps they anticipate that the food supply will be a problem if this COVID-19 will not be controlled.

In my country there is more than enough food for everyone. The real problem is that not everybody has the money to buy it. In my opinion, here in Brazil what's lacking is not the food itself, but the equal distribution of wealth so that people can actually go and purchase what they need to eat.

It is also the same thing here. We still have a food supply. But then, some people cannot afford to buy them. The only reason is poverty. The local government cannot support its people now because of this pandemic. The promised grant is still on the process. This is the sad part that some people are waiting for this instead of working and earn their own money.

I am in the UK and when the pandemic first hit us people were panic buying because they thought we would run out of food.  At this time the shelves were empty in the shops not because we were running out of food but because people were buying ridiculous amounts of supplies  which were eventually wasted.  It did affect farming but not to the point where fresh food was scarce.

We are now past the peak and we did not run out of food. Who knows what will happen in the future but hopefully we have learned enough to prepare should we be hit by another pandemic.

It happens here in my city, too. Some locals had this panic buying thing and scarcity of food happened during the lockdown. Now, it was being controlled and the food supply in shops are starting to fill in. The only problem is some people cannot afford to buy them because they lost their jobs. I am still hoping that we can have a cure or vaccines to deal with this killer virus.

People in that sector need to take the risk and need to go out in order for this to work out. Often they choose to do so despite the risk with the corona and other things. And we can see if contribute to them and also support more farmers. That would be definitely good for our nation. I'd definitely get into farmers support by paying them more.

I hope my local government can do this. Unfortunately, they do not have funds to support the local people and how much more the farmers. I read an article that my government borrowed money from the World Bank. This is really a bad thing.

I am glad that your country has enough food supply. I also noticed that my city is starting to be normal. However, I had seen some small-scale businesses had closed after the lockdown. Moreover, some of them are starting to overprice their goods. The good thing is that the city officials are monitoring this matter.

I am sure that farmers are working hard nowadays. For the reason that they need to supply food for their people. It is not an easy thing to do. But they need to step forward to let people survive and the same thing for them.

I think we will still have foods as the farm and rural area are safer place than town. These area will still produce/provide foods for our needs during pandemic. The virus occurres in high mobility area not in the village.

In my country Philippines, farmers are usually located in the countryside. They are a vital role in producing crops for the locals nationally.

In my country, I do not think food will run out as much, mainly what will run out of the market would probably be the supplies for cleaning and supplies to maintain your house in case of emergencies.

In the Philippines, most locals think that it will affect the production of these crops. Now, the farmers are confident enough to produce them because they are fully vaccinated.

It has been a difficult year for everyone also for the farmers since in our country they did not even get the subsidized fertilizers from the government. Hence planting season in Kenya 2020 was a bad one. We a however anticipate for food to be produced this year as farmers have started planting.

Yes, I think so. But there was a news that during the Russia and ukarine war, there is huge demand for Sunflower oil. There are few products that are exporting from other countries.

My country currently increases the food's prices that means that we needed more supply. The wars, famine, corruption, unemployment and more factors are signs that we don't have enough resources.

There will be a lot of VZV and other like diseases spreading through the air. We will just have to see.

There is no good answer to this question. However, there is a reason why the local government is encourageing locals to plant some vegetables to their homes. It is not because of food scarcity now, but rather that the food supply will be a problem if this COVID-19 will not be controlled.

Yes, having enough food in one's country is essential for the well-being and prosperity of its population. Food security is a fundamental aspect of a nation's stability and development. It ensures that people have access to an adequate and nutritious food supply, which in turn contributes to good health, economic productivity, and overall quality of life. When a country has enough food to meet the needs of its population, it can reduce hunger, improve public health, and foster social and economic growth. It's a critical goal for governments and communities to work towards.

including agricultural practices, food distribution systems, and government policies. While many countries can produce enough food to meet their needs, issues such as food waste, distribution challenges, and food insecurity can still be prevalent. The ability to ensure an adequate food supply often involves complex economic, social, and environmental considerations, and it varies from one country to another. Sustainable and equitable food systems are essential to ensure that there is enough food for all.

Yes, I believe there will be enough food in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE government has taken a number of steps to ensure food security, including:

Developing a National Food Security Strategy 2051, which aims to make the UAE the world's best in the Global Food Security Index by 2051.

Investing in innovative agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices to maximize local food production and reduce dependency on external sources.

Establishing strategic food security reserves to store essential food commodities and staples.

Facilitating the global food trade by leveraging its strategic location and robust infrastructure.

Despite its arid climate and limited arable land, the UAE has made significant progress in increasing local food production in recent years. For example, the country now meets 100% of its domestic demand for dairy products and eggs. The UAE is also a major producer of dates, vegetables, and fish.

In addition to its domestic production, the UAE imports a significant amount of food to meet the needs of its growing population. However, the country's strategic location and strong trade ties make it well-positioned to access food from around the world.

Overall, I am confident that the UAE will be able to meet its food security needs in the future. The government is committed to investing in agriculture and food technology, and the country has a strong track record of innovation and adaptation.

Additionally, the UAE is a very wealthy country, and it can afford to import food from other countries if necessary.
